Meet The Teachers

Hi! I’m Miss Elisha.  I’m so happy to be part of the Children’s Corner family! I’ve been working in childcare since 2018, when I started working for Ms. Gayle in the infant room. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with children in every age group, which has given me a special appreciation for every stage of childhood.

Last fall, I took an exciting new step and became the owner and director of Children’s Corner! My husband, Justin, and I are raising our three little ones—two boys and one little girl—so I know firsthand how important it is to have a childcare family you can trust.

My favorite part of being a childcare director is creating an environment where children can thrive while building a strong village around the families we serve. I love watching children learn, grow, and become confident little people, and I’m so grateful to be part of their journey.

When I’m not at Children’s Corner, you can usually find me baking with my own kiddos. My favorite children’s book is The Wonky Donkey, and a fun fact about me is that I’m secretly a low-budget sci-fi movie junky! 

I’m so excited to continue growing Children’s Corner and creating a place where every child feels loved, supported, and ready to Play. Learn. Grow.

Hi! My name is Gayle Kelly and I have been in childcare for many years. I have worn many hats through my career my favorite one is right where I am!! I am married to Brett and we have  3 children and 5 grandchildren (plus another on the way!) Life is so much fun!  My favorite children's book is all of them! I can't pick! My hobbies are reading and cooking and hanging out with my beautiful family!  I love working with all of my other coworkers here and watching children learn and discover new things! Life is such an adventure!!

Hi, I'm Ms. Brittany! I’ve been working with kids at Children's Corner for over 20 years, and I’m also a proud mom of two daughters, ages 9 and 4. Married for 17 years, I know firsthand how busy family life can be! My favorite part of teaching is watching kids grow, sharing "lightbulb" moments, and building their confidence and social skills through plenty of laughter. When I'm not here, my favorite hobbies are reading and taking walks with my family. My absolute favorite children's books are anything by Mo Willems, especially the Elephant & Piggie and Pigeon series! Fun fact about me: I know almost every Disney song by heart! I can't wait for a wonderful year ahead filled with learning, laughter, and growth!

Hi! My name is Lydia! I live in a small town outside of Findlay with my 2 cats- Pumpkin and Sushi. I have been working in childcare for 4 years- but I have 14 years of Auntie experience! My favorite children's book is any of the "There was an Old Lady" books. My favorite thing to do outside of work is read. A fun fact about me is I love to learn new crafty things! My favorite part of being a teacher is watching their little minds grow and learn. I love when I see them reaching a new milestone or using a new concept. But my absolute favorite thing about being a teacher is probably when they come running and yelling "Ms. Lydia" at the start of the day!

My name is Shaylee and I have over 13 years experience working in childcare. I live with my husband of 11 years, our two children, and our four pets. I began working at Children's Corner with Gayle and Brittany back in 2015. They are both some of my very favorite people. 

My favorite children's book is "If I had a Gryphon" by Vikki VanSickle or "Skippyjon Jones" by Judy Schachner.

Outside of school I love to read, play video games with my kids, and create art.

A fun fact about me is that I collect pokemon cards.

My favorite part of being a teacher is creating bonds with all of my little friends.

Hi! My name is Miss Ashton
I previously worked at Children's corner for 6 years and I'm so happy to be back here with everyone now.
I'm happiest when I feel like I'm doing something meaningful or helpful and to me there is nothing better than working with children.
My favorite Children's Book is "The Giving Tree."
I love spending time with my family especially my sister. And I LOVE animals especially cats. When I'm not here at school I like doing something artistic whether it's listening to music, singing, dancing, painting, drawing or cooking.
A fun fact about me is: I love Halloween and spooky things.

Hi! I’m Miss Hailey! I’m currently a senior in high school with a born passion for education. Fun fact about me! I’ve known ever since I was a little girl I wanted to teach young minds. I turned my bedroom into a classroom and I would “teach” lessons on my whiteboard. I’m currently in my last year at Millstream Career Center before I get one step closer to my dream of being a Kindergarten teacher! My absolute favorite part of my job is walking in the door and seeing their smiling faces. Outside the classroom, I enjoy grabbing my favorite coffee from 7 Brew and heading to TJ Maxx for some retail therapy!
